The Astucemedia Basketball Module is the web app management tool designed specifically for the Data Platform server to manage all incoming basketball data feeds from Opta, STATS, and SportRadar, along with real-time player & ball tracking from ShotTracker. The Astucemedia Basketball module is configured to ingest, manage, schedule, and publish all levels of basketball data from the NBA, WNBA, and NCAA Men & Womens.
Once data from the various providers is processed and ingested, the issue of how to create the broadcast graphics remains. Users who are familiar with graphics systems such as Vizrt, are aware of the technical challenge to integrate live data and the uncertainty of workflow, maintainability and ease of use. A key component of the Data Platform are the Astucemedia Plugins for Vizrt that are designed to simplify the data integration complexity within the graphics. Astucemedia has developed a suite of plugins that are native to the Vizrt environment and provides 3 different categories of features:
The Astucemedia Data Platform Basketball module combined with the Astucemedia Vizrt Shared Memory and Astucemedia Vizrt Basketball plugins make it easy for newsroom staff to update and select data using the vizrt feed browser within content pilot or newsroom component. Customized basketball data templates allow producers and content editors to quickly search or choose matches, players, or rankings created within the data platform web module while utilizing your existing Vizrt MSE and Update Service workflow.
