Astucemedia provided its advanced Finance Data Platform and integration services for Qatar based Aljazeera Arabic and Mubasher.

Very experienced at integrating live financial data with broadcast graphics, Astucemedia provided a solution based on its robust Financial Data Platform, combined with a turnkey integration package for Thomson Reuters Elektron/TREP financial data feed. This technology solution ingests data from Thomson Reuters vast repository of financial information and provides high-performance, low latency real-time data for on-air graphics. Aljazeera has market and security data from over 20 countries (GCC & International) and thousands of symbols. The Data Platform was then integrated by Al Jazeera’s graphics team (with help from Astucemedia) into a real-time Vizrt graphics system.

This was the third time that AJ has relied on the experience of Astucemedia – the first two engagements were to handle to the very challenging task of covering the US elections in 2012 and 2016. As before, Astucemedia was able to provide a complex data integration solution that is accurate, fast and reliable. In addition, the experience of Astucemedia’s team in dealing with financial data gives AJ an editorial edge an ensures a robust system.
